Research and narrative development, Auckland
Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize
The Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize is the ‘Oscar for city development’.
In 2016 the Mayor of Auckland sought to raise the international profile and reputation of the city as part of the vision to be the World’s Most Liveable City by entering the Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize.
To author Auckland’s entry, the Council wanted an interpretive story-teller; someone who could piece together a coherent narrative from an enormous set of diverse inputs. Art of Fact were appointed as the lead researcher and author to shape the entry.
The result was a comprehensive exploration of the last ten years of Tamaki Makaurau Auckland. The city was awarded Special Mention when the Columbian city of Medellin won the prize.
