Story telling and story gathering concept for Auckland’s waterfront
Many Lovers of Auckland
Art of Fact developed this concept for a consortium of clients including Waterfront Auckland (now Panuku Development Auckland), Auckland Museum and the National Maritime Museum. Tamaki Makaurau is the name of our city. It means ‘place withmmany lovers’.
This project shares the stories of those ‘many lovers’ – from the tupuna ancestors to mayors, workers and everyday folk who have contributed to making the city the place it is today.
Many Lovers of Auckland invites the public to share their stories of why they love the city. The first permanent installation of stories is on Queen’s Wharf, Auckland.
